Today, May 24, at their regular meeting the County Commissioners passed a 9 month moratorium on new Short Term Rental Licenses. Properties under contract today will be able to apply for a new permit. Properties under construction must have a foundation to apply for a permit.
More information to come. I wanted you to know as soon as possible. The areas of Keystone and Copper Mountain are exempt and you may still obtain a license from the county there. The towns of Frisco, Dillon and Silverthorne are still issuing licenses at this time. This will put additional pressure on the demand for licenses in their towns and they will probably follow suit. Keep your eyes out for the coming price reductions.
