The Lighting of Breck and Race of The Santas
Dec 6: Breckenridge kicks off the Holidays with a Dog Parade, where costumed pups prance down Main Street to spread cheer. Then, hundreds of Santas dash through downtown in the Race of the Santas, filling the streets with jingle-bell energy. As evening falls, the town comes alive with the Lighting of Breckenridge, when 11.2 MILES and 250,000 dazzling lights transform Main Street into a glowing winter wonderland.
Dec 18 – 20 Praise Ullr, the Norse god of snow, in hopes of a powder-filled ski season. Show your devotion at the Main Street parade and become part of history at the longest Shotski® “unofficial” World Record breaking attempt.

Rockstar Energy Open
Breckenridge Ski Resort announces the debut of the Rockstar Energy Open snowboarding event, taking place December 19–21 in Breckenridge, Colorado. This thrilling three-day festival is free and open to the public, combining world-class snowboarding competitions with live music, art installations, and an interactive fan village set against the backdrop of Breck’s five iconic peaks. The inaugural snowboarding edition of the Rockstar Energy Open will include both men’s and women’s divisions and spotlight a star-studded roster of Rockstar Energy athletes. The competition venue will feature a unique muli-terrain setup unlike traditional slopestyle, halfpipe or big air formats.
